Elevate Supply is proud to be partnering with a dynamic and inclusive secondary schools in Manchester to recruit a dedicated and confident Maths Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a strong academic background in mathematics or a related field to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive environment.

This full-time position is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role: As a Maths Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set maths lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring students remain on task. You’ll join a collaborative and ambitious department that values structure, creativity, and student engagement. This role is ideal for those looking to make a real difference in education.

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

Support students with their work and encourage independent learning

Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student progress

Uphold school policies and support the wider pastoral and academic mission

Build positive relationships with students and staff alike

What We’re Looking For:

A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field (essential)

Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (preferred)

Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills

A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed

A proactive, resilient, and professional approach

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
