Job summary

Weston College is offering an Apprentice Lecturer (Maths) role, a full-time position 37 hours per week, designed to support NEET and engagement programmes while undertaking the Level 5 Learning and Skills Coach Apprenticeship.

You will assist with lesson planning, deliver small group and one-to-one learning, help learners develop employability skills, and build confidence in teaching under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Experience of delivering education, training or targeted interventions for disengaged learners.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities for children and young people in an education setting.

Responsibilities

• Support lecturers with planning and delivery of lessons within NEET and engagement programmes.
• Deliver small group and one-to-one learning activities under supervision, progressing to greater independence.
• Support learners to develop employability skills, confidence, motivation and positive learning behaviours.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching and learning resources.
