Job summary

The West Herts College Group is seeking a Maths Lecturer to deliver, develop and prepare Stepping Stones and GCSE Maths across its campuses. The role requires creative and adaptable teaching to support learners at varying levels and involves supporting vocational staff in embedding Maths into their courses.

The position is hourly paid, initially 12 hours per week, with opportunities for training and development and a supportive team. Closing date: 29 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering GCSE Maths and Stepping Stones.
• Ability to adapt delivery to learners at varying levels.
• Ability to support vocational staff with embedding Maths into courses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Maths and Stepping Stones across West Herts College Group campuses.
• Prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and individual learning plans.
• Support vocational staff to embed Maths into their courses.
• Contribute to quality processes and provide evidence of outstanding teaching.
