Job summary

West Herts College Group is seeking a dynamic Maths Lecturer to join our dedicated Maths team across West Herts College Group campuses, including Watford. This hourly paid role starts at 12 hours per week, teaching Stepping Stones and GCSE Maths, developing schemes of work, and supporting vocational staff to embed Maths into courses.

Job description

The West Herts College Group is currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Maths Lecturer to work as part of the College’s dedicated Maths team.

The successful candidate will be involved in delivering, developing, and preparing Stepping Stones and GCSE Maths.

Ideally, you will have considerable experience of teaching Maths with the ability to be creative and adaptable in your approaches to delivery to support the learning of students at varying levels.

In addition to teaching, your role will involve both individual and team support to vocational staff that will need assistance with embedding Maths into their vocational courses.

You will be required to support the diagnostic process and have the knowledge to work with students at a variety of levels. This includes contributing to the quality process by providing evidence of outstanding and innovative schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans.

This is an hourly paid role initially to teach 12 hours per week. The role will require working across all the West Herts College Group campuses.
