Job summary
Pleckgate High School seeks a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics on a permanent contract starting January 2027. You will design engaging maths learning opportunities, assess pupil progress, and support learners who struggle with concepts to ensure success.
The role contributes to curriculum development and departmental CPD to maintain high-quality teaching. Pleckgate is part of the Education Partnership Trust and offers staff wellbeing initiatives and career progression opportunities.
Qualifications
- Be a well-qualified mathematics specialist.
- Experience designing engaging learning opportunities to promote mathematical understanding.
- Excellent understanding of assessing pupil progress and adapting learning to ensure success.
Responsibilities
- Assist in development of syllabuses, resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies in mathematics.
- Contribute to the Development Plan and its implementation for the subject area.
- Attend all appropriate meetings.
- Plan and prepare courses and lessons.
- Contribute to Academy planning activities.
- Support curriculum development to align with the Academy’s objectives.
- Continue personal development in subject knowledge and teaching methods.
- Communicate effectively with parents of pupils as appropriate.
