Job summary

Francis Holland Regent’s Park seeks an inspirational and well-qualified Head of Mathematics to start in September 2027. The role leads the Mathematics Department, shaping a stimulating curriculum and upholding the highest teaching standards across Years 7–13.

The successful candidate will stay current with GCSE AQA and Edexcel A Level changes, develop pedagogy, monitor pupil progress and collaborate to raise the profile of mathematics throughout the school.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Mathematics teaching and learning.
• Up-to-date knowledge of GCSE AQA and Edexcel A Level changes.
• Ability to teach Mathematics across Years 7–13; Further Maths is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and inspire the Mathematics Department.
• Act as a role model for Mathematics teaching across the school.
• Develop a stimulating, robust curriculum for Mathematics.
• Ensure teaching and learning in the Department is of the highest standard.
• Promote Mathematics within the school.
• Monitor pupil progress data and implement intervention strategies.
• Produce an annual Department Development Plan with the team.
