Responsibilities

• Set high expectations and ambitious targets for staff and students across the Mathematics Department.
• Provide leadership, support and direction to all teaching staff within the Mathematics Department.
• Lead development and implementation of an ambitious, engaging Mathematics curriculum.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
• Use assessment data to identify priorities and implement strategies to improve progress.
• Lead departmental performance management and contribute to colleagues' professional development.
• Create a positive climate for staff to develop and maintain confidence in teaching Mathematics.
• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Mathematics.
• Contribute to the wider life and development of the school.
