Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Housekeeper (Band 2) based on the Maternity Ward in the Women's Centre. You will join the Estates & Facilities Team and may be redeployed to other Maternity areas as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene to the National Specification, preparing patient meals, stocking consumables, and supporting infection control. Applicants should have NVQ Level 1 qualifications in hospitality or cleaning, and a flexible, reliable

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1 in Hospitality & Catering or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Experience in the NHS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of the Maternity Ward according to National Specification of Cleanliness and NHS standards.
• Maintain and replenish stocks of consumables (paper towels, soap, etc.).
• Adhere to Infection Control procedures and colour-coded equipment usage.
• Follow local procedures for reporting cleaned areas and highlight issues.
• Undertake enhanced cleaning duties under the Facilities Supervisor.
