Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Ward Housekeeper for the Maternity unit to support the labour ward at St Mary’s or Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital. You will coordinate ward supplies, maintain stock levels and promote cleanliness to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for women, babies and families.

You will work as an integral part of the Maternity team, liaising with contractors and support services to deliver cleaning, catering and minor maintenance.

Qualifications

• Reliable, proactive and organised individual with excellent communication skills.
• Coordinate ward supplies and maintain stock levels to keep clinical and non-clinical areas organised and operational.
• Support meal service provision and monitor environmental standards to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all ward facilities services for the department area to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Work closely with contractors and support service departments to deliver cleaning, catering and minor maintenance.
• Monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
• Maintain systems for accurate record keeping and inputting of data.
• Assist in achieving continuous service improvement and ensuring readiness of the ward.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients to support experience and safety.
