Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust in Cornwall is seeking a Maternity Healthcare Support Worker to assist the midwifery team in delivering compassionate care to women and babies. You will support clinical staff, help with personal care, dietary needs, and maintain privacy and dignity, while adhering to individual patient preferences and rights.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 (Health) or Health Care Certificate; venepuncture skills and feeding support knowledge are desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (Health) or Health Care Certificate.
• Venepuncture skills desirable.
• Knowledge of supporting feeding choices desirable.

Responsabilités

• Assist and support midwifery staff with clinical duties.
• Establish rapport with mothers and their families while considering individual needs.
• Assist women with personal hygiene and privacy after delivery and document changes.
• Record intake and assist with eating and drinking according to medical and cultural needs.
• Be a cooperative team member and contribute to ward duties.
• Perform clerical duties as designated by the Ward Manager.
