NHS Jobs is seeking a Specialist Maternity Support Worker to build positive therapeutic relationships with families facing distressing circumstances. You will work across maternity, safeguarding, public health and community teams to ensure coordinated, safe care planning.

In this role you will attend multi-agency meetings, escalate safeguarding concerns, provide information and signposting on safeguarding and early help, and support trauma-informed, person-centred care for women with complex

Qualificações

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and escalation protocols.
• Experience in maternity settings or with vulnerable families.
• Ability to deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care.

Responsabilidades

• Develop positive therapeutic relationships with families.
• Collaborate with maternity, safeguarding, public health and community teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Attend multidisciplinary and multi-agency meetings as required.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and escalate to midwifery staff per policy.
• Provide information, guidance and signposting on safeguarding and early help pathways.
• Handle telephone enquiries and escalate when needed to appropriate staff.
• Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care for women with complex needs.
• Assist in developing personalised care plans, birth plans and hospital passports.
• Take action during emergencies and support clinical staff when required.
