Job summary

The role focuses on patient safety culture, quality improvement, learning and clinical excellence within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with NMC registration and degree.
• Significant post-registration maternity experience.
• Experience of incident review and investigation.
• Experience of audit, quality improvement or service evaluation.
• PSIRF training.
• Leadership and national maternity safety programmes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical governance, risk management and patient safety investigations.
• Lead reviews of incidents, complaints and mortality.
• Support compliance with PSIRF and national safety programmes.
• Provide leadership in safety, risk and quality improvement.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
