Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a patient safety governance professional to support clinical teams in identifying factors contributing to incidents and system improvements using quality improvement methods and human factors.

You will oversee maternity incident reporting, ensure data quality in electronic risk management systems, and prepare regular safety reports for governance meetings and the Trust Board.

Qualifications

• Experience applying patient safety incident reporting and governance processes.
• Ability to prepare regular safety reports and dashboards for governance bodies.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical teams to identify contributory factors and system improvements.
• Maintain oversight of maternity incident reporting and ensure data quality in risk management systems.
• Prepare regular patient safety reports and dashboards for governance committees and Trust Board.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of recommendations from investigations, complaints and safety alerts.
• Disseminate learning and outcomes across areas.
