Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an exceptional Women’s and Children’s Risk Manager to lead governance, risk and patient safety across maternity, gynaecology, neonates and paediatrics.

This senior midwifery role requires extensive leadership experience in quality improvement, incident investigations, Duty of Candour and organisational learning to drive safer women’s and children's services.

Qualifications

• Qualified midwife with current registration and protection of title.
• Experience leading risk, governance and safety programmes in maternity or women’s health.
• Immunisation/vaccination reporting as part of occupational health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Women’s and Children’s governance, risk and patient safety programme.
• Provide expert leadership on incident management, investigations, Duty of Candour and organisational learning.
• Develop and deliver quality improvement initiatives in line with national and local priorities.
• Lead and manage the Maternity Risk Team.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to embed a positive safety culture and deliver high-quality care.
• Represent UHCW at local, regional and national risk and governance networks.
