Job summary

Walsingham Support in Middlesbrough is seeking a Female Support Worker on a nine‑month fixed‑term maternity cover to provide compassionate, person‑centred care to three ladies with learning disabilities at Queensway House.

You will work 37.5 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with a supportive team and a benefits package. The role offers a rewarding pathway to help residents live independently with dignity.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic approach.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Sleep-in shifts required on occasion.
• You don't need to have worked in care before if you're kind, patient and willing to learn; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support three ladies with learning disabilities in day-to-day living.
• Encourage independence and meaningful activities.
• Provide person-centred support and promote wellbeing.
• Be flexible to shift patterns including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
