Job summary

Walsingham Support in Redcar is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist a lady with learning disabilities at her home. This permanent role is 36 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with a rota including waking night shifts and day shifts.

You will provide person-centred support to promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life, with shifts including 8pm–8am on Thursdays and Fridays and day shifts 8am–8pm or split 8am–2pm/2pm–8pm.

Qualifications

• No formal care experience required; kindness and willingness to learn are valued.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a varied rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to a lady with learning disabilities in her own home.
• Assist with daily activities to promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
• Work a rota including waking nights on Thursdays and Fridays (8pm–8am) and day shifts (8am–8pm or split 8am–2pm/2pm–8pm).
• Possible extended hours in summer months; evenings, weekends and bank holidays are included.
