Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Maternity Care Assistant (Band 2) to join the maternity team. This role involves supporting qualified staff, preparing and clearing rooms, and ensuring infection control and safety in a busy maternity setting at Broomfield, Chelmsford.

You will work a combination of full-time and/or part-time hours (37.5 per week, job share considered) with weekend and shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous Experience in Maternity services.
• Previous experience in healthcare.
• Working towards a Band 3.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical baseline observations
• Records and documents episodes of care in accordance with Guidelines
• Liaises with other departments and members of the multidisciplinary team
• Complete further training to add additional skills to your repertoire incl infant feeding support, phlebotomy, etc
