East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is recruiting a Maternity Support Worker to provide direct clinical care to patients and babies accessing maternity services in Stevenage, working under the supervision of the designated midwife within a multidisciplinary team and theatres, foetal medicine and community hubs.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Care certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to patients and babies in maternity services.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and families.
• Act as advocate within the multidisciplinary team in the absence of the midwife.
• Participate in data collection and adherence to Trust guidelines.
• Work with clients and professionals to ensure a network of care.
