Escape is working with a FMCG Manufacturing client who is looking to appoint a Materials Planning Manager.

The Materials Planning Manager will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials to meet the production schedule. They will manage and mentor a small team of Buyers and Planners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and optimise inventory to meet production schedules
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Implement effective procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with other departments and address issues related to material availability
  • Regularly review supplier performance and SLAs
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Develop and implement sustainability policies

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within FMCG manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain management
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to build successful teams
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships with colleagues and suppliers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
