Hybrid role, WFH alongside requirement to visit all JLR UK sites (1-2 days per week on site)

As the Materials Planner, you will be responsible for familiarizing yourself with the client’s contract details, objectives, key performance metrics, opportunity identification, and program pipeline implementation. Programs include sourcing strategies for current and future projects and managing several projects concurrently.

You will work closely with Operations and the Global Procurement Management Teams to ensure each project is delivered on time and within scope. You will analyze client data to ensure spend is directed to the correct supplier & category, securing appropriate solutions in terms of Leadtime, price, and savings opportunities.

You will actively manage internal and customer relationships to visualize progress and mitigate risks through regular (daily/weekly/monthly) formal and informal reviews, reports, and presentations.

What you will be doing:

• Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production and project requirements, managing Leadtime, and aligning with customer demand, identifying mitigation actions and preventative measures to ensure project success.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of delivery.
• Collaborate with key customer stakeholders to assess volume requirements against planning assumptions (safety stock levels).
• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identifying areas for enhancement.
• Support inventory checks to validate accuracy and monitor levels against targets.
• Communicate activities and measurable outcomes effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with Stores Operations Managers, Client Service Managers, and Strategic Partner Managers to ensure all service elements are achieved.
• Act as an escalation and resolution point for the client on relevant matters.
• Manage client relationships at Middle/Senior levels, confidently presenting on service performance, delivery, and corrective actions as needed.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-site teams.
