Job summary

Streamline Shipping Group is seeking a Materials/Operations Controller to join our Aberdeen Depot team. The role manages receipt, handling, preparation and movement of goods for domestic and international shipments, ensuring freight is processed safely and on time.

Key duties include coordinating inbound/outbound freight, booking in goods, checking documentation, preparing shipping paperwork, handling Dangerous Goods, and liaising with warehouse, transport and logistics teams to resolve

Qualifications

Experience in freight forwarding, materials handling, shipping or logistics.
Understanding of warehouse and shipping processes.
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods documentation, labelling and packaging is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Coordinating incoming and outgoing goods and freight movements.
Receiving, checking and booking in goods.
Checking goods against shipping and delivery documentation.
Coordinating preparation of freight for collection and dispatch.
Preparing and checking freight forwarding and shipping documentation.
Assisting with Dangerous Goods shipments and related paperwork.
Ensuring goods are labelled, packaged, documented and secured for transport.
Liaising with warehouse, transport and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies.
Maintaining accurate records and meeting operational deadlines.
Adhering to Company Health & Safety and Dangerous Goods procedures.
