Job summary

De Montfort University in Leicester invites applications for a Research Assistant role within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. You will lead the development of novel formulations and delivery methods underpinning a developing DMU spin-out, focusing on materials chemistry and electrospinning.

You will work with the CEO/CSO and external partners to translate research into prototypes and market-ready concepts.

Qualifications

• Degree in materials chemistry with proven experience in materials and chemical analysis techniques.
• Experience in electrospinning and development of functional formulations.
• Strong record keeping and UG/PG project supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of novel formulations and physical delivery methods underpinning the spin-out's core technology.
• Coordinate with the CEO/CSO and external partners to translate research into prototypes and market concepts.
• Support multidisciplinary teams and supervise student projects as required.
