Job summary

The successful candidate will have warehouse or logistics experience, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable with manual handling and standing for long periods.

Job description

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30am - 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £13.53 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a

Materials Handler to join a busy warehouse and logistics operation in Birmingham. This role would suit candidates with previous warehouse, stock control, inventory, or logistics experience who have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily inventory cycle counts.

• Check stock-location accuracy.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous inventory counting or stock control experience.
• Experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Comfortable with manual handling duties and being on your feet throughout the shift.

This is a warehouse-based role and will involve:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Manual handling in line with site requirements.
• Working within temperature-controlled areas, including:

+2°C and +8°C

• Adhering to all site Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

PPE & Dress Code

PPE will be provided where required. Employees must:

• Wear safety footwear at all times.
• Wear Hi-Vis clothing in designated areas.
• Maintain a smart casual appearance whilst on site (no shorts permitted).
