Mott MacDonald is seeking a motivated Materials Engineer to join the Special Services team within the Heavy Civil Infrastructure Division. The role involves durability assessments, on-site inspections, and technical problem solving across diverse projects, communicating with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs.

You will work with experienced engineers and be exposed to models simulating material behaviour, with a focus on concrete and steel, sustainability, and low-carbon

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline relevant to construction materials
• Chartered status or working towards chartership is preferred
• Knowledge of civil engineering assets and concrete/steel materials is desirable

Responsabilités

• Prepare durability assessments and identify deterioration mechanisms to ensure design life
• Provide technical input and sustainable solutions for internal and external clients
• Ensure deliverables meet project requirements and manage client relationships
• Contribute to global projects and provide technical input to standards
• Plan inspections, condition surveys, and material testing oversight on structures
• Communicate effectively with project teams, clients and stakeholders in writing and reports
