Arup is seeking a Concrete Materials Specialist to join our Materials team within Specialist Technology, Analytics and Research. You will strengthen our concrete materials capability and provide technical advisory across durability, low carbon strategies and project review.

You will work on diverse buildings and infrastructure, from quick advisory chats to integral project roles, helping clients optimise concrete performance and lifecycle management while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in civil, structural or materials engineering (doctorate advantageous).
• Strong foundation in concrete technology, durability and service-life modelling.
• Knowledge of low carbon concrete and cementitious materials.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills; able to engage with standards bodies.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical advisory input across concrete technology, durability and low carbon strategies.
• Contribute to research projects and support innovative approaches to concrete and related materials.
• Work across buildings and infrastructure projects, from advisory discussions to inclusion in project teams.
• Help clients optimise performance and life cycle management of concrete assets.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients globally, with occasional overseas travel.
