Job summary

CAF Rail UK, Manchester site, seeks a Materials Controller to ensure timely receipt, storage, control and delivery of materials, consumables and tooling to production teams. Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will manage stock integrity, asset tracking and data accuracy across CAF systems.

You will maintain stores operations in line with CAF HSQE standards, perform stock audits, issue materials per BOMs, and coordinate logistics with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehousing, stores, or materials control operations.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory control processes.
• Usage of forklift, cranes and cargo lifting/handling tools.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Process goods inwards and outwards (physically and in the ERP system).
• Maintain accurate stock levels, logs and system records.
• Support Engineering and Production by issuing materials in line with overhaul schedules and BOMs.
• Coordinate logistics for deliveries, collections and shipments.
• Assist in stock audits, cycle counts and KPI reporting.
