Job summary

Caf Rail UK Limited in Manchester seeks a Materials Controller to support the CAF Overhaul Facility by ensuring materials, components, consumables, and tooling are received, stored, controlled, and delivered to production teams in a timely and accurate manner.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, this operational role maintains stock levels, updates data, and supports overhaul schedules for major components while ensuring safety and compliance with CAF processes and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehousing, stores or materials control operations.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory control processes.
• IT literate (Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, etc).

Responsibilities

• Process goods inwards and outwards in the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and logs.
• Issue materials in line with overhaul schedules and BOMs.
• Coordinate logistics for deliveries, collections and shipments.
• Support stock audits, cycle counts, and KPI reporting.
• Ensure stores operations comply with HSQE processes and ISO standards.
