Job summary

CAF Rail UK is seeking a Materials Controller in Manchester to manage stores, movement and storage of materials. You’ll coordinate logistics with project teams and customers, ensuring accurate transactions, stock checks and audits. Strong ERP and stock-control experience are essential.

Role requires good numeracy and literacy, a valid driving license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary is around £32,000 per year with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar materials/controller role.
• Strong computer skills with ERP exposure and stock control systems.
• Valid driver's license; good numeracy and literacy; English & Maths at Standard Grade 3 (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Run a well-organised stores department handling materials movement and storage.
• Coordinate logistics with customers and project teams regarding materials transactions and inquiries.
• Maintain material logs and monitor stock levels for accuracy.
• Support materials planning and control across multiple departments.
