Job summary

Huhtamaki is recruiting for a Material Controller to join our manufacturing operations across Holbrook and Grange sites in the UK. The role focuses on ensuring a steady supply of raw materials, accurate stock records, and compliant warehouse practices.

You will monitor inventory, resolve discrepancies, assist production planning, and train team members on systems and processes, contributing to safe and efficient production performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and the confidence to make decisions.
• Experience with stock control or warehouse management systems.
• Good numerical and administrative skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Flexible approach to support operational needs when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supply of raw materials to support paper production in line with production plans.
• Monitor and control inventory using Snap/BPCS and other warehouse management systems.
• Maintain accurate stock records through regular stock checks and inventory reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and material variances.
• Support production planning by preparing shop orders, labels, and production documentation.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries and ensure goods are received, checked, and stored correctly.
• Manage stock levels of key materials, packaging, pallets, labels, and consumables.
• Lead and support team members, ensuring adequate coverage during holidays and absence.
• Deliver training on warehouse systems, automation processes, and work instructions.
• Support month-end inventory processes and variance investigations with relevant departments.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping.
