Overview

Job Title: Materials Controller

Location: Chester

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive DOE

Responsibilities
  • Managing part / tool levels via stock management system and ERP software
  • Placing tooling orders with approved suppliers and monitoring order fulfilment
  • Organising and managing materials / products in the Warehouse (Stores)
  • Ensuring waste material (FOD) is disposed of correctly
  • Ordering materials in accordance with maintenance needs and demand
  • Ensuring that tooling calibration certificates are specified and supplied for all applicable tools and gauges
  • Shipments of parts and tools including dangerous goods
Candidate Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Previous experience in a Materials Controller / Warehouse Coordinator role within manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics
    • Experience with supply chain management / ERP software systems
    • Maintaining stock (tooling and parts) availability to relevant KPI's
    • Book parts out to work orders as requested by Team Leaders and Manufacturing Operatives
    • Experience of picking & kitting of parts
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
    • Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
  • Desirable:
    • Excellent organisational and planning skills
    • Ability to work independently
