Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Materials Assistant at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow for 37.5 hours per week. The role involves day-to-day materials management and stock control, supporting internal customers and maintaining accurate records.

The candidate should have GCSE Maths/English, and be proficient with Word and Excel. Strong communication, initiative and customer service are essential; a competitive benefits package is offered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain departmental paperwork and files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Complete mandatory training as required.

Materials Assistant Ross Hall Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £25,525.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Materials Assistant to join their team of staff in the Materials department. This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• You are an active member of the Materials Department, involved in the day to day running of the department.
• Provide an effective and high-quality materials management service to all internal customers.
• Ensure stock availability through the correct order processing and replenishing of pre-approved stock and products for central stores or on behalf of hospital departments.
• Maintain all departmental paperwork and files in good order with reference to accuracy, appropriateness and availability.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Requirements

• A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
• Customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
