Job summary

Navantia Uk is seeking a proactive Material Controller to own inventory accuracy and material availability, ensuring production teams have what they need when they need it.

You will manage material flow, conduct stock counts, and collaborate with Procurement, Production and Warehouse teams to optimise operations and drive process improvements. This role suits organized, detail-oriented professionals with ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Material Control, Inventory Management, Stores, Logistics or Warehouse Operations.
• Proficient with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or MS Dynamics.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the flow of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Work with Procurement, Production and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement and improve inventory control processes to minimise waste and prevent stock shortages.
• Monitor material consumption and provide reports and insights to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Support forecasting activities and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for material receipts, transfers and stock issues.
