Job summary

Brose in Coventry is seeking a logistics operative to move materials around the factory using a forklift and to ensure timely supply of goods to production lines.

You will work with counterbalance and reach trucks, maintain clean logistics areas, and support kanban processes. A safety-focused candidate with experience in material handling and basic warehouse duties is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in moving materials in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate various forklift types safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of kanban systems and stock replenishment processes.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in logistics areas.

Responsibilities

• Move material to and from points in the factory using forklift trucks.
• Collect and consolidate empty packaging and materials as required.
• Ensure manufacturing is supplied with materials on time and in full.
• Maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness in all logistics areas.
• Operate kanban and e-kanban processes and related equipment.

Your Tasks

• Move material to and from various points in the factory, using either counterbalance, reach or EK10 trucks
• Collect empty boxes and consolidate
• Ensure that manufacturing is serviced with all materials as and when required
• Maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness and housekeeping in all logistics area
• Operate picking buffer and kanban processes (both e-kanban and manual internal kanban)
• Use of manual material handling equipment; pump trucks, battery- powered hand trucks
• Use of forklift trucks and other material handling devices (from 5% to 80% of working time) inclusive of appropriate ancillary equipment (battery-changing devices etc).
• Complies with all company policies, procedures and guidelines.
