Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking a Materials Handler (Manufacturing) for our Golborne site. The role focuses on controlling and optimizing the flow of raw materials to production, ensuring timely availability and minimal disruption to the manufacturing plan.

You will load and unload materials, assist line technicians with material changes, and maintain high housekeeping while following health and safety practices.

Job description

Materials Handler (Manufacturing)

Golborne Location

Shift Basis: Including both days & nights - 12-hour shifts

Main purpose of the role- To ensure the control and flow of raw materials to the production department is optimized. Works closely with other team members to mitigate any material impacts on the production plan.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the control of raw material is optimized for the department
• Support line technician with material changes
• Loading and unloading of materials for the department (use of FLT)
• Ensure all areas within the job scope are maintained to high level of housekeeping
• To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good H&S practice
• Works with other departments to ensure the material flow is in accordance with the production plan

Experience Required

• Previously held a position within a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment ideally supporting movement of products and/or materials
• Excellent team player and can communicate effectively
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety procedures within a busy manufacturing environment

Preferable

• Hold valid FLT license / Counterbalance (training provided if needed)
