Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Golborne is seeking a Materials Handler (Manufacturing) to ensure the flow and control of raw materials to the production line, on a 12-hour shift basis including days and nights.

You will work closely with production teams, loading and unloading materials, using a FLT, and maintaining high housekeeping and adherence to HS&E practices to support the production plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable loading/unloading materials and using FLT.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the control and flow of raw materials to the production department is optimized.
• Work with team members to mitigate material impacts on the production plan.
• Load and unload materials for the department (FLT use).
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adherence to HS&E practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure material flow aligns with the production plan.

Materials Handler (Manufacturing) Golborne Location Shift Basis: Including both days & nights - 12-hour shifts Main purpose of the role

• To ensure the control and flow of raw materials to the production department is optimized.

Works closely with other team members to mitigate any material impacts on the production plan.

We now need to strengthen our team and have the below requirement of a Materials Handler:

• To ensure the control of raw material is optimized for the department
• Support line technician with material changes
• Loading and unloading of materials for the department (use of FLT)
• Ensure all areas within the job scope are maintained to high level of housekeeping
• To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good H&S practice
• Works with other departments to ensure the material flow is in accordance with the production plan Experience Required:
• Previously held a position within a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment ideally supporting movement of products and/or materials
• Excellent team player and can communicate effectively
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety procedures within a busy manufacturing environment Preferable:
• Hold valid FLT license / Counterbalance (training provided if needed)
