Job summary

Mirus Aircraft Seating Limited is seeking a Material Handler to support production with timely line-side supply. You will receive goods, pick components against work orders, maintain stock levels and ensure accurate recording of inventory in a busy warehouse.

Experience in engineering/manufacturing warehousing, understanding health and safety, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems are important. A forklift licence is advantageous; candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to work

• Experience in busy warehousing or stock control in engineering/manufacturing

• Basic English written and spoken
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Office 365
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory processes

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and book items accurately, locating them in warehouse locations
• Pick materials against Work Orders and issue to BoM
• Maintain stock of consumables and purchase stores per budget and minimum stock requirements
• Carry out perpetual stock takes and report shortages to Warehouse Supervisor or Production/Supply Chain
• Ensure items are booked out correctly to receiving departments and limit unauthorised access to warehouse areas

Job description

As aMaterial Handlerthis role will focus on:

• Picking materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production.
• Receiving goods in, material storage, stock checking, counting and kit picking to ensure accurate, standardised and timely supply of material components to Production.
• Recording and reporting inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES:

In your role as our Material Handler, you will:

• To receive in goods, booking items in accurately and locating them in the designated locations within the Warehouse
• Pick material components against Work Orders and issue to Bills of Material (BoM)
• Manage and maintain stocks of consumable items, purchase stores consumables in line with budget and minimum stock requirements.
• Carry out Perpetual Stock Takes, reporting shortages to Warehouse Supervisor or, in their absence, to Production/Supply Chain
• Ensure that all items within the Warehouse are booked out accurately to receiving departments, at no time allowing free access to unauthorised personnel
