Job Description

A Material Handler I for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location will work under limited supervision, handling and maintaining the flow of inventory in our manufacturing and warehouse areas, assisting with everything from the receipt of raw materials to customer delivery.

The compensation for this position is $17/hr. (Opportunity for Over Time!)

Responsibilities

• Monitor raw material inventory levels weekly, along with shop supplies, and report needs to purchasing.
• Assist in unloading incoming materials and verify condition before signing the receiving ticket.
• Complete receiving tickets and note any discrepancies with purchase orders.
• Print bills of lading and other shipping documents for prearranged transportation and notify the shop of expected pickups.
• Coordinate and assist with product loading upon the carrier’s arrival.
• Notify logistics and customer service of any shipping delays and provide alternative shipping times.
• Greet suppliers, receive and sign for small packages, and create BOL for carriers.
• Coordinate scrap pick-up and order items from local suppliers.
• Maintain reclaim spare parts inventories and assist with UKG-related issues.
• Assist with onboarding and issue the weekly Monday schedule to the shop.
• Print burn packages and perform additional support duties as requested by the manager.
• Operate a forklift with proper certifications as required by OSHA.
