Your new role as an Account Handler/Broker Technician will be working for a leading independent Broker operating in the Lloyd's of London, Bermuda, European and International Specialty markets. They have market-leading capabilities and experience in the Financial, Professional and Casualty Lines sectors. With a broad, independent platform, they can deliver the best services and resources for our clients and broker partners. They partner with clients to deliver risk transfer solutions, claims advocacy and risk management services. Due to expansion in the Fintech team, a position for an Account Handler/Broker Technician has arisen.
Your new role
Your new role as an Account Handler/Broker Technician involves working in the Fintech team dealing with UK commercial FI. You will need MRC slip experience and will have client contact. You will work alongside the broking and claims teams. Duties include assisting brokers with renewals and new business opportunities, preparing formal quotes and contract documentation, reviewing and improving wordings if required, and preparing supporting documentation such as spreadsheets to track complex placements. Additional responsibilities include ensuring premiums are accurate, working with the finance team, loading placements onto PPL, tailoring solutions for clients and producers, and managing your allocated account list.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as an Account Handler/Broker Technician dealing with commercial FI, D&O, and Cyber business is essential. Knowledge of Fintech and Finpro business on the UK side, strong verbal and written communication skills, and an understanding of the insurance regulatory environment are required. Ideally, you will have MRC slip experience and client contact experience. Strong computer skills (Word/Excel/Broking Systems/PPL), the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects, organizational and time management skills, and a willingness for continuous learning are also important.
