Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts with certification preferred.
• Familiarity with materials handling procedures.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems or similar inventory software.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance.
• Experience in construction or heavy lifting environments a plus.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
• Understanding of shipping and receiving processes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and effectively to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Handle materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organization in accordance with safety standards.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update records, and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support construction-related activities by handling specialized materials as required.
