Job summary

JK Recruitment is seeking a FLT / Labourer for positions in Cannock, United Kingdom. The role involves operating forklift trucks safely to load, unload and move materials around the warehouse or yard, and performing general labouring duties with manual handling.

You will also load deliveries, move stock and pallets, prepare goods for dispatch and assist other staff while following health and safety procedures and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence/certificate.
• Experience in warehouse, yard or labouring preferred.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely to load, unload and move materials around the warehouse or yard.
• Load and unload deliveries from vehicles.
• Move stock, pallets and materials to designated areas.
• Carry out general labouring duties, including manual handling and keeping work areas clean and organised.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch where required.
• Check deliveries and report damaged or missing items.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
• Assist other warehouse, production or site staff as needed.
• Carry out routine checks on the FLT and report faults.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and efficient working environment.
• Performing other reasonable duties as required by the supervisor or manager.
