Job summary

You should have proven forklift experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems, basic mechanical knowledge, and strong math and counting skills to verify weights and inventory.

Qualifications

• Proven forklift operation experience in a warehouse/distribution setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Strong materials handling skills with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform basic math for weights, measurements and inventory counts.
• Prior experience in shipping and receiving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for issues.
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage and organization of goods.
• Assist with shipping and receiving by verifying shipments against documentation.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move large or bulky items as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
