Job summary

JDR is seeking a Material Handler for a large manufacturing site in Bridgwater, UK. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off pattern (4 days 7am-7pm, then 4 nights 7pm-7am) with a pay rate of £16.02 per hour and immediate start.

The position is temporary leading to permanent, offering regular hours, a friendly environment, and free parking. You will handle raw materials, operate grinding machinery, and move materials across the site.

Responsibilities

• Pick raw materials and move around the site with bags.
• Operate machines to grind trays and sheets.
• Process materials and transfer into bags.
• Lift bags onto platform and move materials.
• Use forklift for roughly 15% of tasks and perform other duties 85%.
• Work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a very manual working style.

JDR is recruiting for a Material Handler to work in a large manufacturing site in Bridgwater.

The role:

• Picking raw materials and moving around the site with bags that are 2.2 metres
• Using the machines to grind trays and sheets
• Processing materials
• Taking material out and moving and then putting into the bags
• Lifting bags onto the platform
• Will be multi skilled role where 15% of the time you will be using the forklift and 85% of the time the role will be a mixture of duties
• Working within a noisy environment
• This role will be a very manual role

As a Material Handler you will have the following skills and experience:

• Available to start soon and are looking for long term work
• Good level of organisation
• A counterbalance licence is a must and happy with in house certificate
• Quick learner
• Strong work ethic and professional approach
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to work both days and nights on a 4 shift pattern
