Sodexo Live! St James’ Park in Newcastle is hiring for the 2026/27 season. We are recruiting customer‑focused kitchen and catering team members to support matchday and non‑matchday events at the stadium.

You will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, stock, and ensure food safety standards while working in a fast‑paced team. Willingness to learn and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in kitchen, catering, hospitality, or food preparation environment is essential.
• Willingness to learn and support the wider kitchen and catering team.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume stadium environment.
• Positive attitude with a team-focused approach.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, matchdays and large-scale events.
• Comfortable with cleaning, stock replenishment, and food preparation support duties.
• Able to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and assembly of food items for kiosk service during matchdays and events.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks and portioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen, storage, and preparation areas.
• Wash utensils, equipment, trays, and kitchen tools promptly and safely.
• Replenish stock and service supplies throughout service periods.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock in line with food safety procedures.
• Ensure all food hygiene, allergen, health & safety, and stadium regulations are followed.
• Support smooth and efficient food service during high-volume matchday operations.
