Job summary

Marshall Motor Group in Oxford is seeking a Master Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostic, warranty and repair work on a range of vehicles. You will complete mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs to manufacturer standards and mentor less skilled technicians.

The role offers a pathway for progression, access to manufacturer accreditation training, and involvement in exciting EV initiatives as the workshop grows into a Battery Care Centre.

Qualifications

• Master Technician Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience with complex diagnostic and servicing work, electrical & mechanical systems.
• Strong teamwork, follows process and upholds safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance work on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• Complete mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently, in line with manufacturer standards.
• Support less skilled Technicians in diagnosing all types of issues, guiding them to be highly efficient.

Job description

• + Join a busy, high-performing workshop team consisting of 5 Service Technicians and 1 PDI Technician, working together to deliver outstanding customer service and technical excellence.

• + Enjoy consistent workflow and strong earning potential in a workshop that processes 20-25 customer vehicles per day, alongside internal preparation work supporting the sale of approximately 125 new and used vehicles each month.

In this role:

• + You'll carry out a range of maintenance work on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.


• + You'll complete mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently, working in line with manufacturer standards.


• + You'll support the less skilled Technicians in diagnosing all types of issues, guiding them on being highly efficient.

• + Someone qualified as a Master Technician Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).


• + Someone with exposure to both complex diagnostic and servicing work, with experience in electrical and mechanical systems.


• + Someone with strong teamwork skills, who follows process and upholds high standards of safety and quality.

Basic Salary £49,439 | OTE £59,750 Uncapped based on time saved, team profit and CSI bonus; 25 days' annual leave + bank holidays (increases with service); Life assurance & pension scheme; Discounts on car servicing, purchase & more; Access to exclusive shopping and lifestyle perks.

Full-time | 45 hours per week, including Saturday morning on a rota basis,
