Job summary

Autoskills-Uk in Newbury is seeking a Master Technician to join a modern, manufacturer-backed dealership. You'll perform diagnostics, servicing and repairs to high standards, supporting the workshop team with your expertise.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) is required.
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities are essential.
  • Ability to mentor and support other Technicians.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out complex diagnostics, servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults efficiently.
  • Inspecting vehicles and identifying repair requirements.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and right first time.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to fellow Technicians.
  • Liaising with Service Advisors and Workshop Control to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Maintaining accurate workshop documentation and job records.
  • Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As a Master Technician, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostics, servicing and repairs while supporting the workshop team with your technical expertise.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults efficiently

About You

We're looking for someone with:



  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience as a Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician

  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

  • Strong understanding of manufacturer standards and workshop procedures

  • Ability to mentor and support other Technicians

  • MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence

  • A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail

  • Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available)
