Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Master Technician in Huddersfield to join a busy main dealership. You’ll lead the workshop, mentor technicians, and carry out complex diagnostics to manufacturer standards.

The role offers £47,000 basic, realistic earnings £50,000 OTE, 5-day week with Saturday rota, plus benefits like life insurance, medical plan and staff discounts. You’ll work with the latest diagnostic equipment and support the service department to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as a Master Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience in franchised dealership or large independent workshop.
• Proactive approach with ability to mentor other technicians.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

THE ROLE

As a Master Technician, you'll be the workshop's technical specialist, supporting the workshop team while carrying out complex diagnostics and repairs to the highest manufacturer standards.

ABOUT YOU

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Previous experience as a Master Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working within a franchised dealership or large independent workshop
• A proactive approach with the ability to support and mentor other technicians
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• A commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
