Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a skilled Master Technician in Salisbury to lead advanced diagnostics, servicing and repairs to the highest manufacturer standards. You’ll mentor colleagues, uphold safety and quality, and contribute to a busy, high‑standard workshop environment.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or higher (essential).
  • Previous experience as Master Technician, Senior Technician, or Diagnostic Technician.
  • Advanced diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Experience in franchised dealership or premium automotive environment desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Carrying out servicing and repairs to manufacturer specifications.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to workshop colleagues.
  • Assisting with resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and health & safety standards.
  • Completing accurate repair documentation and technical reports.
  • Supporting workshop productivity, quality and efficiency.
  • Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

THE ROLE

As a Master Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs while supporting the workshop team and ensuring every vehicle meets the highest manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical faults
