Peterborough City Council is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will triage referrals, gather information, assess needs and make timely decisions about safeguarding interventions for children and families.

Working with partner agencies and Team Managers, you will apply professional judgment, maintain your Continuing Professional Development, and help keep children at the heart of every decision in a fast-paced, supportive team.

Qualificações

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for a fast-paced role where you can make a real difference for children and families?

Joining our MASH team, you'll triage new referrals, assess information and work closely with partner agencies to make timely decisions about the right intervention and support for children.

You'll use your professional judgement to apply thresholds and make informed decisions, often working at pace while keeping the needs of children at the heart of everything you do.

You'll be joining a supportive and established team, working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and Team Managers to help ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join a stable team who has children at the heart of all decision making.

All about our Team

The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is based at Sand Martin House and co-located with Police, Health, Education, Housing, Independent Domestic Violence Advocates, Early Help Hub and the Assessment Service. The MASH triages new referrals for children and makes a decision as to whether intervention and support is required for children and families. The team includes a Service Manager, Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers and Children's Advice and Information Officers.

You will be a qualified Social Worker with a current Social Work England registration.

You have strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

You are able to work confidently with internal and external partners.

You are experienced while still being willing to learn new things and maintain your own continuing professional development.

You have an in depth knowledge of the legal and policy frameworks and guidance that inform and mandate social work practice in Children's Services.
