Wakefield Council is seeking a Markets Operations Attendant to join the Markets Operations team. The role covers day-to-day operational delivery, customer service, and working across six markets in Castleford, Pontefract, Ossett, South Elmsall, Normanton and Wakefield City Market.

This is a permanent, full-time post of 37 hours per week with some weekend work. You will erect and dismantle stalls, ensure safety, and contribute to a high-quality, cost-effective service.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, reliable and can work independently or in a team.
• Flexible to cover Saturdays and across multiple markets.

Responsabilités

• Deliver day-to-day operational services at outdoor markets and market halls.
• Provide excellent customer service to shoppers and stallholders.
• Erect and dismantle market stalls/gazebos as required.
• Work across six markets: Castleford, Pontefract, Ossett, South Elmsall, Normanton and Wakefield City Market.
• Assist with health and safety duties and training as needed.
