Walsall Council is seeking Markets Operatives to support daily operation, maintenance, and presentation of markets across the borough. This role involves outdoor, hands-on duties and working in all weather conditions.

Shifts are split with part-time hours and early starts between 4:00am and 6:00am. You will set up stalls, move bins, keep areas clean, and engage professionally with traders and the public. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manual or physical work
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsabilités

• Setting up and dismantling market stalls
• Moving and positioning bins across market sites
• Litter picking and maintaining clean market environments
• Engaging professionally with market traders and the public
• Reporting issues to the Team Leader / Market Operational Manager
• Spreading grit and rock salt in icy weather
• Upkeep of market infrastructure
• Cleaning stalls, bins and communal areas
• General site maintenance including basic weeding
• Assisting with smooth operation of market activities
